Apple & Cinnamon Oatmeal

Rebeka Bergin Rebeka Bergin

Cut a small Red Apple in half: chop one half, then grate the other.

Put the Oats, Milk (dairy or non-dairy), Cinnamon, and both grated and chopped Apple into a pot, then stir to combine all of the ingredients. Bring the pot to the boil, then reduce the heat and stir continuously until the oats thicken (around 3-4 minutes). Add another splash of milk if you desire a looser consistency.

Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and top it with chopped Walnuts and a teaspoon of Honey (or maple syrup) to serve.

*Substitute cow’s milk with a dairy-free alternative such as soy or almond milk, and honey with maple syrup to make this recipe completely plant based. Note, however, that the nutrition information will differ slightly from that provided.
